Fuerteventura has been a popular destination for UK holidaymakers and is growing in popularity among golfers too. With a small number of very good golf courses and a climate that allows you to play golf year-round, what more do you need? Located off the north-west coast of Africa, Fuerteventura is easily accessible from the UK with a plethora of stunning hotels to fit all groups and budgets.

  • First tee of the Fuerteventura Golf Club is on the hotel doorstep
  • Come straight off the course into the clubhouse and bar
Open today 8am - 7pm

The hidden gem of the Canary Islands

On the east coast of Fuerteventura there are two main golf courses for you to play, Golf Club Salinas de Antigua and Fuerteventura Golf Club. Both of which provide plenty of entertainment as you make your way through 18 holes of luscious fairways and greens without too many difficulties to face.

Golf Club Salinas de Antigua was opened in 2006 and designed to include classic links features such as wide fairways, open landscapes and of course, sea views. It is a very pretty course with no great difficulties allowing you to enjoy your time on the course with your friends, taking in the sunset views with a post-round drink.

Fuerteventura Golf Club is a previous host of the Spanish Open back in 2004 and true championship course for anyone brave enough to play off the back tees. From the middle tees however, it is a very accessible course with several water hazards that you’ll need to navigate before approaching large greens.

Explore Fuerteventura off the course

When looking for things to do off the course in Fuerteventura, you won’t be disappointed. Known for its white-sand beaches and year-round sunshine, its little wonder it’s a holiday hotspot.

It offers many natural and cultural attractions, from mountain trails and enchanting clear turquoise waters, to an active nightlife, plenty of sports and delicious cuisine, there is something for everyone.

Those who enjoy water sports can go surfing and windsurfing, and Fuerteventura is one of the best locations for both thanks to its strong winds and large waves. The most highly recommended places for surfing and windsurfing are around the Corralejo reserve and the Playa de Sotavento. You’ll also have many snorkeling opportunities off the northern coast.

Some top attractions include the Lobos island, Oasis Park Fuerteventura with interactive experiences and plenty of wildlife. Montana de Tindaya with its mountain trails and rock engravings is well worth visiting.
