East Course overview
Location: East Sussex | Style: Championship | Par: 72 | Designer (Opened): Bob Cupp (1990)
Lying within the tranquil countryside of Sussex, the East Course at East Sussex National Golf Resort offers a dramatic, tournament-grade test of golf. With its stadium-style shaping, bold earthworks, and undulating greens, the layout was conceived by American architect Bob Cupp to host high-level play.
From the back tees, the course stretches over 7,000 yards and demands both length and accuracy. The routing moves over rolling terrain with vantage mounds and contours that create natural amphitheatres and viewing lines.
The course has been privileged to host the European Open (1993 & 1994) as well as European Chellenge Tour events and PGA qualifying competitions.
Signature Holes
The 17th hole stands out as one of the most striking on the East Course. At about 450 yards, it demands a careful tee shot to avoid a widening creek that snakes close to the green. The approach must be precise across or around the water hazard to a large, welcoming green.
Post Round
After your round, golfers can relax in the clubhouse, enjoy meals, or make use of the resort’s spa and wellness facilities (sauna, pool, treatments) as part of the full resort package.
