Mount Juliet House, built by the Earl of Carrick over 200 years ago, still displays the work of master craftsmen at its finest. The elegance of the original décor has been painstakingly preserved and enhanced.

Golf Courses

To play golf at Mount Juliet is to experience up to 7,200 yards of visionary, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Designed Parkland, set across 180 acres of rolling Irish countryside. Magnificent specimen trees, miles of rushing river and verdant pastures all play their part, bringing sensational natural beauty to a course that is ranked among the world's finest parkland courses.

Over the past 30 years, the Jack Nicklaus Signature Design has held an esteemed position across the Irish golfing landscape. hosting a series of prestigious, international golf events since 1993. In more recent years we have hosted the 2021 and 2022 Horizon Irish Open.

TopTracer Range, the ball-tracing technology used on televised golf tournaments to track the shots of the game's best players, is transforming the everyday driving range experience as well. Guests of all ages and ability levels can play a variety of fun and skill-based games, compete against friends, see their shot traces, and receive instant data on interactive game screens.

Accommodation

The Manor House is the beating heart of the estate and has been ever since the first Earl of Carrick and his wife Juliet first made it their home in 1757. Manor House has 32 unique bedrooms named for a famous local character and features stunning period interiors. The bedrooms look out over the impressive River Nore or the beautiful gardens.

In a bygone era, the handsome stone buildings of Hunter's Yard housed working horses and lodgings for the grooms, coachmen and stable boys. Today Hunter's Yard has 93 bedrooms that offer a haven-like retreat. The luxurious bedrooms offer a picturesque view of the historic Hunter's Yard courtyard or expansive greenery of the gardens, and the countryside that lies beyond.

Restaurant & Bars

The Michelin-starred Lady Helen restaurant is located in the elegant dining room of the Manor House. Serving outstanding modern Irish cuisine in a magnificent 260-year-old country manor, John Kelly's menus champion the finest of Irish natural produce. Guided by the seasons and bounty from the estate, each dish is a celebration of its ingredients, elegantly pared back to deliver extraordinary flavour.

Intimate and sophisticated, the 1757 bar is located in the original cellar of Manor House. Tucked amongst the vaulted ceilings, thick stone walls and atmospheric black and white photographs, you'll find a welcoming space to enjoy a drink and while away a few relaxed hours. The elegant 1757 bar enjoys a private terrace overlooking the River Nore and Ballylinch Stud.

The Hound restaurant at Hunter's Yard offers informal dining without ever compromising on the qualities. With a commanding view of our Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, it makes for the perfect place to unwind with family and friends.

Spa & Leisure

The leisure centre at The Hunters Yard provides an opportunity for invigorating exercise or gentle relaxation. Work out in the fully equipped gym, swim in the pool, ease away tensions in the steam room or take the time to unwind in the sauna at the end of a day's activity.

Mount Juliet also has a top-class spa providing a wide range of both traditional and alternative health and beauty treatments. As well as full body massages, holistic healing, facials and various beauty treatments, the Spa also features such rooms as The Dead Sea Discovery Floatation Room to help you unwind.

Settle into the decadent velvet, marble and brass interior and enjoy an intimate high-definition screening of the best movies around. From classics to blockbusters, Manor House's exclusive cinema screens two different movies every day at 6 pm and 9 pm, with a constantly changing programme.

Location

Mount Juliet is just 20 minutes from Kilkenny, two hours from Dublin and 30 minutes from Waterford, it is the perfect destination for a relaxed yet luxurious excursion. The county of Kilkenny also provides many complementary attractions if you wish to venture out beyond the walls of the estate.

The Jack Nicklaus Signature Mount Juliet Golf Course has been designed to make use of the natural landscape surrounding the estate. Host to the Irish Open from 1993 – 1995 and two time host of the American Express World Golf Championships, the course certainly has an great list of credentials. Although beautiful, the course has plenty of hazards which are in keeping with its natural surroundings; Rolling fairways and tricky greens are likely to require some outside the box thinking!
