Ranked sixth in Northern Thailand by Top 100 Courses it was originally opened in 2006 and redesigned in 2014 by the acclaimed Lee Schmidt of Schmidt-Curley Design, Gassan Legacy blends contemporary course architecture with the natural beauty of Chiang Mai’s countryside. Today it sits as one of Thailand's top golf courses.

Golf course overview

The 18-hole, par-72 layout stretches across 7,200 yards of beautifully maintained parkland. Water is a defining feature, coming into play on nearly every hole, but the fairways are generous and multiple tee boxes make the course playable for golfers of all levels.

Schmidt’s redesign introduced improved routing, reshaped bunkering, and smoother, more consistent greens. Paspalum grass ensures year-round playability, while the undulating terrain and cleverly contoured putting surfaces add strategic depth. Each hole offers a distinct visual identity, with risk-and-reward decisions throughout - particularly where water guards greens and tightens approaches.

Signature Holes

Although there are many brilliant holes to choose from given the way the course is designed, it tough to look past the par-3 15th.

Featuring an island green surrounded by one of the largest water hazards on the course, the holes demands pinpoint accuracy along with precise club selection.

Post Round

After your round, unwind on the terrace at the clubhouse which perfectly complements the course’s impressive design. Overlooking the central lake and several of the most scenic finishing holes, it provides panoramic views and a relaxed atmosphere.
