The Four Seasons is a challenging yet fair golf course playable for any level of golfer - just choose your tees to suit your game.
The course was in pristine condition and I believe very underrated. It has 4 great finishing holes, 3 looking out to the lagoon. The front 9 is probably the prettier 9 - if only because of villa construction on the back 9, but should not distract from the course itself. Loved the par 3s, especially the 5th, 8th and 17th all of which look out over the lagoon and can be very challenging if the winds blow. Some of the views from the golf course are stunning, more so than Il Aux Cerfs.
We played at Il Aux Cerf too. Il Aux is an extremely tricky and punishing course (from all tees) - yes very pretty but you need to be straight or capable of placing the ball exactly where it needs to be - some long carries off the tees too - the 1st is very daunting particularly off the whites and just a taste of what is to come! The yellow tees are generally recommended for men regardless of handicap level. The course is only about 5000 yards from the red tees, a bit short really. The average number of golf balls lost is approx. 10 per round, we are told! Evident from some of our playing partners! Still worth the experience but good that the Four Seasons is a fairer golf course whilst still challenging, to rebuild confidence.

The service was great too and you can keep your clubs at the club house - they even take them to where the Il Aux Cerfs boat leaves, before you get there.

The only downside, for me was the cost of clothing and limited selection in the golf shop - I usually like a souvenir of golf courses I have played. I expect prices to be more expensive than at home but not 2-3 times more - Adidas shirts cost from £70 to over £100!
