Almenara Golf Course overview

The Almenara golf course boasts an impressive 27 holes in total. Onsite at SO/ Sotogrande, guests are able to immerse themselves in these three excellent nine-hole loops. Designed by Dave Thomas and remodelled by the legendary golfer Manuel Piñero, each course is superbly maintained and provides narrow rolling fairways with fast greens and strategic bunkers to create a challenging test of course management.

The tightest of the three is Los Pinos (Pines), with tree-lined fairways taking much of the limelight. Los Lagos (Lakes) has a series of water hazards on its route, and finally, Los Alcornoques (Corn Oaks) which hosts some of the most dramatic holes on the course.

The views and landscapes here are truly breath-taking and the greens are immaculate and well-maintained throughout the year. The best part of this course is that golfers can enjoy up to three different 18-hole combinations, all with a par-72. This creates a challenge for even the most experienced golfers.

Our experts say...

"Good resort course. 3 loops of 9 which is always well maintained. A few lakes and streams and deep bunkers makes this a challenging course."
