This course is truly reminiscent of a classic Scottish seaside layout, complete with heather and gorse bushes. There have been some recent improvements made to make it suitable for all handicappers; the fairways have been improved and widened while the greens have been levelled off. You are also treated to some magnificent views over the Mediterranean to Gibraltar and on a clear day you can see the Atlas Mountains in North Africa.

The Alcaidesa Heathland Course offers exceptional golf in a stunning part of Spain and plays 6671 yards. The newer of the two courses is designed by Dave Thomas and offers a variety of natural landscapes, with wide fairways and outstanding views of the Mediterranean Sea. As well as the local mountain ranges (including the Sierra Nevada), the river valley comes into play where the holes meander along the valley and incorporate various water features/hazards.
