Set in the heart of North Carolina’s Sandhills, Legacy Golf Links was designed by Jack Nicklaus II and Nicklaus Design to make the most of the area’s natural rolling terrain, pine forests, and water features.

A highly regarded public course at Talamore Resort, Legacy delivers a strong yet fair test of golf for all abilities. Five scenic lakes come into play across the layout.

Golf course overview

A classic Sandhills layout that blends natural movement with thoughtful design. Rolling fairways, pine-lined corridors, and five lakes shape the challenge, while Mini Verde greens place a premium on approach play. Strategic rather than punishing, the course rewards accuracy, course management, and confident putting, offering an enjoyable yet testing round for golfers of all abilities.

Signature hole

The standout closing hole, par-4 18th known as “The Bear,” provides a memorable finish. Although a slightly blind drive, positioning is of the upmost importance as water guards the approach short right and your miss is definitely left, however too far left and you bring the large pine trees that frame the green into play.
