Palmares Golf Club

Designed by the well renowned Robert Trent Jones Jr., Palmares Golf Club opened in 1975 and is a wonderfully varied course which has five of its 18 holes winding through the dunes along the Atlantic coast and with the remaining 13 laid out over gently undulating fairways. Rated 26th in the Top 100 Golf Courses in Europe.

Palmares Golf Club is a definite must-play and features excellent facilities where golfers can hone their skills, including a driving range. The club also features buggy rental and a modern Clubhouse which provides stunning vistas of the Alvor Estuary, the Meia Praia beach and Ponta de Piedade.

Golfers are set a challenge from the get-go with a par 4, dogleg start leading to the links part of the course. Following the 6th hole, the course provides a different type of challenge as it turns back inland and towards the clubhouse featuring undulating valleys bordered by pine trees.
