Day 1 - Arrival

Arrive at Los Cabos International we collected our rental car for the week, we felt it gave us a bit more freedom compared to transferring to each course and to and from the airport, however if you have any worries driving in a different country we would recommend utilizing a private transfer service.

Once arriving we checked in at the stunning Pueblo Bonito Los cabos, one of three Pueblo Bonito resorts we offer, along with Pacifica and Rose. A real benefit to staying here was how accessible many of Cabos top courses are from the resort.

We spent the evening enjoying a drink at the resort along with a brilliant dinner at the Las Palomas restaurant on-site. Feeling very excited for our upcoming vacation we went to bed early that night in preparation for an early rise the following morning.

Day 2 - Quivira Golf Club

We began our trip with a bang at Quivira Golf Club, which is only accessible for Pueblo Bonito guests and is located a short ten minute drive to the course. We always advise getting to Quivira early to make full use of the brilliant facilities, particularly the first 'comfort station' which has lovely ocean views and a great selection of pre-round snacks

Designed by Jack Nicklaus and ranked inside the top 5 Mexican courses by Golf Digest, Quivira is unforgettable. For any golf addict this place will tick all of the boxes and it is clear to see that Jack Nicklaus spared no expense and from start to finish we were truly amazed at this course!

Highlights of Quivira Golf Club include:

  • Cliffside fairways with sweeping Pacific views.
  • Signature comfort stations serving tacos and cocktails.
  • Immaculate conditioning carved into natural desert terrain.

That evening we enjoyed dinner at the resorts Cilantro Restaurant, where the beautiful beachfront setting complements the restaurant's mouthwatering menu of fresh seafood and international delights.

Day 3 - Cabo Del Sol

After breakfast at the resort, it was a quick fifteen minute drive to Cabo Del Sol. Set along the stunning Golden Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo, this world-renowned golf destination perfectly blends desert terrain, mountain vistas, and sweeping oceanfront holes.

We arrived early to warm up on the immaculate practice range, surrounded by views that reminded us why Cabo is such a golfer’s paradise. The course itself was in pristine condition. Lush fairways framed by cactus and rock formations, fast greens, and ocean breezes that kept every shot interesting.

The front nine winds through the desert and foothills made it a real test, however the back nine steals the show, playing right down to the Sea of Cortez. Standing on the signature holes, it’s hard to focus on your swing when the view looks straight out of a travel magazine. As your round comes to an end play the brilliant par-3 16th, a hole compared by locals to Pebble Beach's 7th, running alongside the Sea of Cortez and often played with a swirling wind, it is one of the most memorable par-3s a golfer can play.

Cabo Del Sol Golf Club

After a day on the course, we headed into downtown Cabo San Lucas for an evening of great food and lively atmosphere. The marina came alive as the sun set with lights reflecting off the water, music drifting from open-air bars, and the smell of grilled seafood filling the air. We explored a few local favorites, from casual taco stands and ceviche bars to upscale spots serving freshly caught fish and creative cocktails.

Whether you’re craving authentic Mexican cuisine or a fine dining experience overlooking the marina, Cabo’s restaurant scene delivers the perfect way to unwind and celebrate another day in paradise.

Day 4 - Enjoying what else Cabo has

After two incredible days of golf, we took a day to slow down and soak in everything that makes Cabo such a special destination beyond the fairways. The morning started with a relaxed breakfast overlooking the ocean, followed by a stroll along Medano Beach, where the turquoise water met the golden sand and locals were setting up for a day of paddleboarding and beach volleyball.

In the late morning, we hopped on a boat tour to El Arco, Cabo’s iconic natural rock formation at Land’s End. Cruising past sea lions basking on the rocks and schools of fish darting beneath the clear water was a reminder that Cabo’s beauty extends well beyond its golf courses.

The afternoon was pure relaxation. Lounging by the pool with a cold drink in hand before visiting a few local shops and bars in downtown Cabo San Lucas. The energy there was contagious, from the smell of sizzling tacos to the sound of live music spilling out onto the streets.

We wrapped up the day with a sunset dinner cruise, watching the sky turn from gold to deep purple as the sun disappeared behind the Pacific. It was the perfect reset before diving back into more world-class golf.

Day 5 - Solmar Golf Links

We woke up fully refreshed after a lovely day at leisure, to more bright blue sky. A quick breakfast at the resort before heading to our second resort of the week, Grand Solmar at Land's End.

Just a short ten minute drive away from Cabo city center, Land's End is a brilliant base for a Mexican golf vacation. One of the most uniquely crafted resort right on the Pacific Ocean with unspoiled views. On-site you will find everything you need, from a fully serviced Spa, eight different restaurants and bars and of course the on-site course which we experienced later that afternoon.

Grand Solmar at Land's End resort

Teeing off at Solmar Golf Links you can feel it is a course that perfectly captures Cabo's rugged beauty. Set where the desert meets the sea, every hole offers a photo opportunity and the rolling dunes, crystal-blue water and natural elevation changes make every shot unforgettable. A Greg Norman that design that does have hints of playing a UK links golf course with narrow undulating fairways and strategically placed bunkers.

We enjoyed an early glimpse of Solmar's oceanfront magic with the coastal par-4 3rd. A wide fairway with stunning views and a green perched near the dunes, it set the tone well for what was one of the most spectacular things i have ever seen on a golf course...

During peak season (December to April), it is not uncommon to see whales breaching and our luck was in when we saw one not far off-shore surfacing. A magnificent site and certainly not something you expect to see when you are teeing up!

Highlights of Solmar Golf Links include:

  • Stunning ocean front holes with sweeping Pacific Ocean views
  • The potential Whale sightings during peak season (December to April)
  • Signature comfort stations which are dotted around the course serving fresh tacos and local beverages.

Day 6 - Cabo Real Golf Club

Our final full day of our wonderful trip saw us visit Cabo Real Golf Club for an early morning tee time. One of the most scenic and enjoyable courses in all of Los Cabos. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., this course offers a perfect mix of challenge, playability, and jaw-dropping beauty.

We didn't have to wait long until encountering a hole that could be on any golfers bucket list, the par-3 3rd is a stunner. Tee off to a green that sits seventy-five yards below you with the Sea of Cortez as a backdrop, make sure to get your club selection right as danger awaits short and long!

The fairways were lush, the greens pure, and the service top-tier, from the friendly staff to the comfort stations stocked with snacks and ice-cold drinks. Cabo Real is a course that rewards smart play and offers something for every golfer, from low-handicappers chasing birdies to casual players soaking in the views.

Highlights of Cabo Real include:

  • A fun and fair challenge for all golfers
  • Mountain and desert vistas, particularly on the front nine
  • A Robert Trent Jnr. design combining desert and ocean landscapes.

Day 7 - Finishing Cabo memories

Our final morning in Cabo was spent savoring the serenity of Grand Solmar at Land’s End, perfectly tucked between dramatic cliffs and the endless Pacific. We enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, watching waves crash against the rocks and fishing boats head out to sea.

Some of us took a final walk along the beach, where the sand met the towering granite formations that make Land’s End so iconic, while others relaxed by the infinity pool one last time, soaking in the views that had defined the week.

As we packed up and made our way to Los Cabos International Airport, there was a quiet sense of gratitude. A trip where brillaint golf had mixed with great relaxation and also brilliant activities away from golf. Cabo had delivered everything we hoped for and more, a perfect blend of world-class golf, oceanfront luxury, and that unmistakable Baja magic.

Final thoughts

Cabo is a fantastic golf trip destination that rivals some of the more prolific regions in the world. The four courses we played were all excellent, above the thrilling views they were all in fantastic condition.

Quivira provided us dramatic cliffs and landscapes along with one of the most premium golf experiences we have experienced. Cabo Del Sol offered pure coastal elegance, before experiencing the natural beauty of Solmar Golf links before finishing at the very enjoyable Cabo Real.

Away from golf Cabo really delivered off the course, too. Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos was well located with great guest rooms and facilities. To pair this with the tranquility of Grand Solmar at Land's End was very lucky and gave us the full Cabo experience.

Our travel tips for Cabo

  • For those coming from the East Coast, the direct flight takes around five hours, so we recommend adding a few extra days to make the most of your time in paradise and balance out the longer journey.
  • Although we suggest teeing off early to avoid the afternoon winds many don't know that most courses offer different rates throughout the day, 'peak rates' run from 7am - 10:30ish, 'early twilights rates from 10:45-11:45' and then 'Twilight rates' form 12 o'clock and onwards. If you are a golf that likes to enjoy breakfast in the morning and play in the later morning / early afternoon, this typically saves you roughly $60 per round!
  • Many do not realize that April into May is still a very good time to go to Cabo. This tends to be a period before the summer heat arrives but you will be able to take advantage of low season rates for golf and lodging and it typically tends to be less busy since you avoid spring break and winter travelers.
