Whittlebury Park Golf Club overview
Location: Northamptonshire | Style: Parkland | Holes: 36 | Designer: Cameron Sinclair
Nestled in the rolling countryside of south Northamptonshire, Whittlebury Park presents a classic English parkland golf experience, woven among ancient oak trees and tranquil lakes which hint at its former life as part of the Royal Whittlewood Forest.
The design allows for multiple 9-hole loops - named 1905, Royal Whittlewood, Grand Prix, and Wedgewood - that can be combined in different ways, ensuring variety and preventing repeat rounds from feeling stale
Post Round
The clubhouse (known as the Atrium Clubhouse) is a focal point at Whittlebury. It has been awarded UK Clubhouse of the Year on at least two occasions and is among the largest in Europe in its class.
Facilities include:
- A pro shop with club fitting and rental options
- A 300-yard driving range and a top-quality short game / practice area
- It is also one of just four Callaway fitting centres in Europe, located on site
- Dining and social spaces to relax after your round
- Spa, pool, and accommodation options as part of the larger Whittlebury Park resort.
Did You Know?
The 1905 Course, as the name would suggest, was built on Whittlebury Estate in 1905 and requires golfers to navigate around the mature oak trees and magnificent lake features. The maturity and layout of the course ensure that all levels of golfer will thoroughly enjoy their round.
The golf estate lies on about 300 acres, and the resort also includes a 254-bed hotel plus camping facilities (often used during Silverstone GP events)
