County Louth Golf Club often flies under the radar but there is no disputing its place as one of Ireland’s finest links courses. Laid out in two loops of nine, there are no weak holes on the layout. The course is perhaps best known for its brilliant greens, which are among the finest in the country.
Formed in 1892, the prestigious club has hosted a number of prestigious events, including the Irish Open in 2004 and 2009, the Irish Women’s Amateur Open, and R&A Open Qualifying. The course has been rated in Golf Digest’s Top 100 courses in the world as a ‘hidden gem’.
