Overview
Blessed with two superb golf courses, Carton House Hotel is situated on the outskirts of Dublin. Rightly regarded as one of Ireland’s best golf resorts, Carton House Golf Club offers two very different, but equally excellent courses. Designed by 2010 Ryder Cup-winning captain, The Montgomerie is best described as an inland links with plenty of seaside course features to contend with. The O'Meara Course was created by the former Masters and Open Champion. The shorter of the two on-site courses, this is a classic parkland test - manicured, lush and beautiful to behold. Together they form Carton House Golf Club, a true Irish gem.
The 1998 Open and Masters champion Mark O'Meara has constructed a stunning golf course at Carton House Golf Club that has made especially good use of the existing mature woodland. Particularly noteworthy holes are 13, 14 and 15 which are guarded by the River Rye, with the 14th capturing the beautiful Shell Cottage as a backdrop.
