Located on the idyllic Kiawah Island is The Sanctuary Hotel. This exemplary oceanfront Forbes 5-star property has 255 rooms and suites available to guests, with most offering views of the Atlantic. Staying at The Sanctuary allows guest access to all 5 courses onsite at Kiawah Island, including the famous ‘Ocean Course.’

Golf Courses

Kiawah Island is simply a golfer’s paradise, with five courses to experience during your stay, it is the perfect destination for your next golf vacation with designers such as Dye, Fazio, Nicklaus and Player all putting their stamp on the resort.

The Pete Dye-designed Ocean Course, host to the 1991 Ryder Cup and Rory McIlroy’s empathic PGA Championship win in 2012 is an absolute must-play. Add Osprey, Turtle, Cougar and Oak Point to the choice on hand and you have a selection of golf that will rival any resort in the world.

Accommodation

The Sanctuary Hotel has over 250 rooms ranging from luxurious guestrooms to oceanfront suites, each of which is full of the finest amenities and bedroom fittings. The guest rooms allow visitors a king bed or two queen beds depending on their preference.

Suites contain a king bed in the master bedroom, as well as a sleeper sofa in the living space. Suites can also be connected to guest rooms allowing for larger groups to stay with one another. All rooms have either a patio or balcony, with either scenic inland views of the island or stunning ocean vistas.

Restaurant & Bars

The Sanctuary Hotel has a fine selection of dining from lite bites by the pool to the ‘Ocean Room and Lounge’ – Kiawah Island’s premier steakhouse. The ‘Jasmine Porch at The Sanctuary’ serves authentic Lowcountry cuisine and Southern favourites and ‘Loggerhead Grill’ offers a more casual fare including tropical food and drinks. ‘Beaches & Cream’ serves up natural ice cream, sweets and express breakfast and lunch meals – a hit with the kids and adults alike.
