Herons Reach Golf Course overview

Style: Parkland

Herons Reach is a challenging par 72 golf course which is always in superb condition. Although it is not the longest of courses, there are water features on no less than 12 holes which more than makes up for the length. Being situated only seven miles from the coast there is an ever-present links feel to this course, despite being located in 236 acres of beautiful parkland. The sea breeze comes into play here which produces a great test of judgment and accuracy.

The Herons’ Reach Golf Course has played host to numerous finals of the De Vere PGA North Region Championships, and with holes such as the superb 16th signature hole with Blackpool Tower as a backdrop, it is clear to see why it continues to be a very popular destination for a golfing retreat.

Signature Holes

The immaculate course at Herons Reach is full of holes which could easily be the signature, however, the par-3 16th hole takes the glory. Measuring 167-yards from the back tee you are faced with a hole that has out of bounds left and right and a lake that lies between OOB on the left and the green. Plus, there is both a bunker left and right of the green ready to snatch any wayward shots, a truly brutal test of golf.
