Nestled within the expansive 360-acre grounds of Penina Hotel & Golf Resort, the Resort Course offers an inviting mix of playability and scenic calm. Originally designed as a gentler complement to the resort’s championship layout, it allows golfers to experience the estate’s lush fairways and mature vegetation without the uncompromising challenge of the main course.

For those playing two loops, the full 18-hole length still delivers a fulfilling round with variety in hole types, water features, and tree-lined vistas, making it a superb warm-up or more relaxed golf option in the Algarve.

Signature Holes

While the resort course is 9 holes (or 18 by looping) and doesn’t always have the same “headline” hole as a major championship course, one particularly memorable moment is the Par-3 third hole featuring a lake guarding the green.

This hole is a fine example of how the course balances playability with interest — wide enough for confidence, but with enough risk to keep things engaging.

Post Round
