EU Travel Consultant - Full Time Position
Role Overview: As a Travel Consultant at Golfbreaks you will have overall responsibility for handling leads from initial enquiry through to booking stage whilst offering specialist knowledge of our products to customers.
Key Responsibilities: Sales Ability
- Show a thorough understanding of and ability to implement the Golfbreaks sales cycle.
- Use a consultative sales approach and have the ability to correctly question clients on their wants and needs.
- Effectively pitch breaks and packages to clients, highlighting the key USP’s each venue/package offers and relaying to the customer why this is the perfect break for them.
- Use suitable closing skills, showcase a solution based mind set and strong objection handling skills to ensure Golfbreaks wins the business over our competitors.
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail to ensure bookings are made accurately with a seamless handover to our customer service team.
Specialist Product Knowledge:
- Understand the key regions and venues within the relevant sector so you are a true product expert that our customers can lean on for market leading advice.
- Show a strong knowledge of all our offers and which venues are best suited to different client types.
- Offer clients a true consultancy/advice service. This includes all logistical elements of the trip including transport to venues and whilst on site.
- Ability to package and build quotes utilising the best rates/offers available at any given time.
Organisation
- Show a thorough understanding of pipeline management and how to utilise internal system to manage your workload.
- Effectively manage time to ensure all sales leads are given exceptional service levels.
- Have the ability to prioritise what is required to ensure we maximise our conversion rates and work on leads in the right order.
- Maintain high activity levels at all times to ensure our clients receive market leading levels of service
Communication Skills
- High levels of both written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- The ability to build rapport with a wide range of clients and understanding different personality types.
- Building strong client, venue and internal relationships.
Sales Motivation
- Must thrive working in a target/sales related environment.
- Have a self-motivated attitude.
- Show the ability and track record to set goals and achieve these.
- A willingness to learn.
- An interest and passion for sales and the travel industry is essential. Playing golf is an advantage but not a pre-requisite
