Official Partner of Golfbreaks
We are proud to announce the continuation of our longstanding partnership with Callaway in 2021, which allows us to thank all our wonderful customers for their loyalty. The partnership will further integrate the OGIO brand - a leading innovator of sports equipment and travel bags, into our customer rewards and competitions.
So, wherever you go on your golf break you can be sure that your clubs, luggage, clothing, and accessories are protected by the designs of these best-in-class products.
From the driver to the ball, see how Callaway has introduced exceptional new technologies into their latest range
In a truly groundbreaking new formula for speed, Callaway’s 2021 Driver line-up is led by the new Epic Speed, Epic Max and Epic Max LS, and the incredible Jailbreak A.I. Speed Frame.
The NEW Apex 21 Irons deliver an extraordinary level of forged performance and craftsmanship that we’ve never seen before. They’re the first forged iron designed with Artificial Intelligence for faster ball speeds and improved spin consistency; with a choice of five models, there is now an Apex iron for every level of golfer.
Odyssey’s 2021 product range is spearheaded with the new 2-Ball Ten; its greatest putter model of all time, the 2-Ball, in a new Ten shape, creating a super high MOI head design. With a new Stroke Lab shaft and Microhinge Star insert, Jon Rahm already has it in play, having been a fan of the 2-Ball since his college days.
And in the ball category, Callaway’s Tour-proven Chrome Soft family has a new addition this year, the Chrome Soft X LS; a new, low spin profile for maximum distance on full shot, and Tour Level short game control
Callaway's epic attempt at a Guinness World Record
After continuing to solidify their position as the #1 Driver on the European Tour, our friends at Callaway have turned their attention to breaking an Official Guinness World Record with the help of their new Epic Driver and Staff Player Marcus Armitage.
Take a look at the video to see Marcus ‘the bullet’ Armitage attempt to break the record for the ‘Farthest Golf Shot Caught in a Moving Car’.
Tour Tips – Speed and Distance
We join the European Tour’s own Thomas Detry and Min Woo Lee as they discuss speed and distance off the tee, and engage in a little friendly competition with the #1 driver on tour.
Tour Tips - Top Tracer Challenge
For another episode of Tour Tips, we join Guido Migliozzi and 2016 Masters champion, Danny Willet, at the Betfred British Masters as they put their game to the test on the Toptracer Challenge.
A continued partnership with further integration of the OGIO brand
Despite a challenging year for the industry, 2020 saw Golfbreaks’ biggest ever domestic travel months at the end of the summer, with more golfers than ever deciding to take a UK ‘staycation’. This increased demand for domestic travel has continued into 2021, with the vast majority of customers with disrupted trips opting to postpone these into 2021, resulting in one the busiest forward-booking years in Golfbreaks’ 23-year history.
The partnership with Callaway and OGIO allows Golfbreaks to once again thank customers for their loyalty, and will provide competitions and content throughout the year, sure to engage golfers ahead of their trips. Additionally, following the PGA TOUR’s investment into Golfbreaks in 2019, and Callaway’s own partnership with the European Tour, it also means that Golfbreaks customers will have access to content from both of the world’s leading professional men’s tours.
With golfers in England able to play again from March 29th, this year’s partnership kicked off with a social media competition designed to help golfers get “Back on Course” with prizes including Callaway’s Epic Speed Driver, Odyssey Stoke Lab Putters, Chrome Soft Golf Balls and OGIO Travel Bags and Backpacks. These prizes are in addition to golf holidays and tee-times at Top 100 courses including Woodhall Spa.
Of the partnership, Andrew Stanley, Golfbreaks CEO said: “The importance of customer loyalty and rewards has never been more evident than the last year, and we’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Callaway and OGIO through 2021 as we help our golfers Get Back on Course. We’re looking forward to being able to offer their fantastic products to our customers and share their industry-leading content with golfers to excite them ahead of their break.”
Greg Pearse, Commercial Director, Callaway Golf Europe, continued: “We’re delighted to be extending our partnership with the team at Golfbreaks. There are so many synergies between our two businesses and it’s exciting to see what we can deliver together over the coming year, which is sure to be a big one for golf. It’s also great to be integrating the OGIO brand within the agreement as we expect a huge appetite for travel both domestically and internationally as we begin to emerge from the recent restrictions.’’
