Donnafugata Links at Donnafugata Golf Resort
Sicily, Italy
Donnafugata Links Course overview
Style: Links-inspired | Par: 72 | Designer: Franco Piras | Opened: 2010
Nestled in the sun-washed landscapes of southern Sicily near the historic city of Ragusa, Donnafugata Links is an 18-hole championship golf course that celebrates the spirit of classic links golf with a vibrant Mediterranean twist.
Designed by Italian architect Franco Piras, this par-72 layout traverses two broad valleys, weaving fairways through natural contours, coastal breezes, and panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and glimpses of the Mediterranean Sea on the horizon.
Signature Holes
Hole 8: This stretch of the Links Course showcases the course’s wind-exposed terrain, undulating fairways, and strategic approach play that define the layout. The greens and surrounds here are sculpted with agrostis and mounds that accentuate the classic links-style challenge - requiring careful club selection and shot shaping in prevailing coastal breezes typical of this course.
Clubhouse & amenities
Donnafugata Links is part of the larger Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa, a luxury golf destination that offers full resort amenities, including a spacious clubhouse, pro shop, practice facilities with a driving range and short-game areas, and professional teaching services.
The resort’s hospitality and golf academy provide excellent support for both visiting golfers and those looking to improve their game.

Location

"Beautiful links course in a lovely setting. Quite score-able for a links course but there are some tricky holes so it's not always plain sailing!"
