Anoreta Golf Club overview
Anoreta Golf Club was founded in 1990 and is a par-72 parkland layout. The course was designed by five-time European Tour winner Jose Maria Canizares, and was the first golf course constructed in Axarquia. To add, the club’s Golf Academy has a 25-grass bay driving range, a putting green and also a short game area.
Golf Course at Anoreta Golf Club
The course is a 6000-metre, par-72 parkland layout. Anoreta Golf Club was designed with all levels of golfer in mind, and is considered a challenge for all handicaps. Shaped by large trees and water hazards, the course demands accuracy at a premium.
Two holes on the Anoreta layout deserve special mention: the 7th runs close to the ocean with breath-taking views across the Mediterranean, while the 17th is a picturesque par-3 surrounded by water. The USGA specification greens are in fantastic condition all-year-round and regularly run at above nine on the stimp-metre.
