West Course overview
Location: East Sussex | Style: Parkland | Par: 72 | Designer (Opened): Bob Cupp (1990)
Carved through the rolling Sussex Countryside, the West Course at East Sussex National Golf Resort provides a contrasting character to its sister East Course. While it may lack the grand spectator embankments of the East, it shines through in its more intimate routing, with mature oak trees, water features, and a quieter inland ambience. The course's length (over 7,150 yards from the back tees) makes it a serious test even for low handicaps, yet its layout offers a blend of shot values, strategic angles, and a terrain that demands both length and finesse.
Signature Holes
- Hole 16 (par 3): Despite its modest yardage, the green's narrowness and bunker protection make it deceptively challenging.
- Hole 18 (par 4): A narrow finishing hole with trees flanking both sides - finding the fairway becomes crucial for any chance at par or better.
Post Round
After your round on the West Course, guests can unwind within the resort amenities - grab a bite in the clubhouse, relax in the spa or wellness facilities, or simply enjoy the views over the course. The resort is designed to cater to both golf and leisure guests alike.
