1. Bournemouth

Top of our list for the second year running, Bournemouth is our most popular UK golf tour, with incredible courses such as Ferndown, Broadstone, Parkstone and the hilltop layout at the Isle of Purbeck. Away from the course, the town is buzzing with beaches, bars, restaurants, as well as a topflight football team – providing a myriad of options for your time away from the golf.

It’s location on England’s south coast makes it a touch warmer throughout the year than the national average, and the town is easily accessible by road and train, making it tough to beat for a UK getaway.

2. Ayrshire

The west coast of Scotland has always been a hotbed of excellent courses, with the iconic Open venues of Royal Troon, Prestwick, and Turnberry hugging the coastline. However, recent years have seen incredibly strong additions from the likes of Dundonald Links (with its first-class on-site lodging), as well as continual developments to the brilliant layouts at both Western Gailes and Glasgow Gailes Golf Courses.

It's the ideal trip north of the border for those who may have already experienced golf in St Andrews, or who are simply looking for a trip that takes in some of the most highly-rated golf courses in the whole of the UK.

3. Costa Brava

With two of the strongest golfing facilities in the whole of Spain in PGA Catalunya and Real Club de Golf El Prat, Costa Brava is the ideal golf destination for the serious golfer. Both venues have multiple courses, with PGA Catalunya home to two 18-hole layouts, and El Prat boasting three separate loops of 9-holes. In addition to these two giants, the area is also home to Hotel Terraverda at Emporda Golf which also has two 18-hole tracks, The Forest and The Links.

The golf in the area is located in such a way that a stay in either Barcelona or Girona are both good options dependent on what your group is looking for. However, with many of our partners having hotels on-site (notably the excellent five-star Hotel Camiral at PGA Catalunya), a resort-based break is also a fantastic option.

4. Majorca

Despite its incredible golfing climate, Majorca has only grown to its current level of popularity amongst golfers over recent years. The island has long been a go-to holiday destination for Brits, however, the addition of some excellent golfing facilities has now made it one of our most booked getaways too!

Golf Son Muntaner

Golfers have options across the island, from Alcanada in the North, down to Arabella Golf Mallorca and its three courses Golf Son Vida, Golf Son Muntaner and Golf Son Quint located closer to Palma – all in, we’ve got more than a dozen layouts to choose from. So, whether you want to have a bustling city break in Palma, or enjoy the nightlife on offer closer to Magaluf, there’s no reason why Majorca shouldn’t be high on your list for your next golfing getaway.

5. Le Touquet

The north of France is a superb destination for your next golf trip. All the great feelings of getting away, but with the region just a matter of hours from the south coast of England, you can travel in your own car and squeeze in as much golf as you’d like on both your day of arrival and departure.

Our groups join the majority of Brits in Le Touquet, taking on some of the country’s strongest layouts, including the two 36-hole options at both Golf du Touquet and Golf d’Hardelot.

Golf du Touquet

Accommodation options are plentiful in Le Touquet, ranging from the five-star Le Westminster Barrière Le Touquet, to the more affordable (but equally enjoyable!) Hotel Red Fox. The region lends itself perfectly to a golf tour, driving to a different course each day from a central location, so speak to our sales experts to plan your perfect itinerary.

6. Lisbon

One of Europe’s most beautiful capital cities, Lisbon is a great choice for your 2023 golf holiday. The city itself is jam-packed with stunning architecture, incredible cuisine, and a bustling nightlife. However, if that wasn’t enough, the area is also home to some of our favourite courses in the country. Some of the standalone courses we love include Troia Golf, Golf Do Estoril, and Oitavos Dunes.

West Cliffs Golf Links

Those looking for a more resort-based break are also in luck. The Praia D'El Rey Resort is one of the best on the continent, with two stunning golf courses to choose from in the Praia D’El Rey Golf & Country Club and West Cliffs Golf Links. There’s also the five-star Penha Longa Resort nearby, with its 27-holes of Robert Trent Jones Jr-designed golf to be enjoyed.

So whether you want a city break, or a chilled out resort stay, Lisbon has you covered.

7. Canary Islands

How does a perfect golfing climate year-round sound? The Canary Islands is blessed with such fantastic weather given its southerly location, which makes it the perfect destination for an early or late-season trip. Our two most popular choices are Tenerife and Gran Canaria, with both boasting first-class venues.

Anfi Tauro Golf

The Salobre Hotel Resort & Serenity is the ideal choice in Gran Canaria for a relaxing resort break. Two on-site courses, and luxurious accommodation (as well as an adults-only pool and bar), make this the perfect spot to kick back and unwind. Similarly, both the Hotel Las Madrigueras and The Ritz-Carlton Tenerife, Abama in Tenerife boast five-star opulence, as well as locations from which the wider island can be explored.

8. UAE

The home of golf in the Middle East, the UAE has been a mainstay on the professional golf circuit now for more than 30-years, with the DP World Tour heading to the region every November and January. The majority of our courses and hotels are based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with the layouts being some of the best conditioned in our entire portfolio.

Abu Dhabi is home to the iconic Abu Dhabi Golf Course, as well as Saadiyat Beach and Yas Links, whilst Dubai boasts the Emirates Golf Club, Jumirah Golf Estates, and the Els Club (amongst others). Prices to the UAE can be surprisingly affordable for those booking in advance, and with overnight travel often the norm from the UK, you can fly through the night and be on the first tee the next morning – leaving the afternoon for a nice relax by the pool!

9. Morocco

Looking to mix a little culture with your golf in 2023? Look no further than Morocco for the perfect mix of on and off-course splendour! On the whole, our golfers generally opt for either Marrakech or Agadir, with five-star hotels aplenty in both cities including Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech, Kenzi Menara Palace and Movenpick Hotel Mansour Eddehbi.

Marrakech and it’s world-famous souks provide ample opportunity for exploration when you’re done playing at one of the incredible courses such as, Assoufid Golf Course, The Montgomerie Marrakech, Royal Marrakesh, or Fairmont Royal Palm. The hotels in Marrakech take some beating too, with the Iberostar Club Palmeraie Marrakech being an excellent option.

Assoufid Golf Club

In Agadir, most of our guests reside at the Tikida Golf Palace or the Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay Resort, with three local courses (Golf du Soleil, Golf Les Dunes, Golf de l’Ocean) providing plenty of options for first-class golf!

10. South Carolina

Finally, perhaps 2023 is the year that you finally head to the States? South Carolina is an ideal first step for a golf holiday to the USA – we love it so much that we based our US office there! Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Kiawah Island, and Hilton Head Island are all within driving distance of each other – although, with multiple courses in each destination, there’s no need to travel far for some variety.

Myrtle Beach National

There’s regular PGA TOUR stops such a Harbour Town Golf Links, as well as the PGA Championship layout at Kiawah Island to keep you on your toes. Whilst there’s plenty to get stuck into away from the course, South Carolina really does value the quality of its golf on offer, we’d recommend a base close to your favourite courses and skipping around them as often as your legs will allow!

Hilton Head Island

Regardless of where you stay, you’ll experience the unbeatable Southern hospitality, and some of the freshest seafood you’re ever likely to taste. Our top tip? Check out flight deals around the Christmas period to really maximise value on your trip. You could even put any savings towards an extra round …

Feeling inspired?
Whether you're exploring well-known destinations like Spain or discovering Morocco's culture, there's no shortage of options for your 2023 golf break.
