Stratford upon Avon Avid, average golfer
- Our accommodation was excellent although one bedroom was significantly superior to the other. Facilities were fine but towels should be provided at the Bella Colina pool.
The Boavista Estate is huge and our villa was at least a kilometer from the golf clubhouse, restaurant and spa/pool. Our party of four did not have a car and were very put out on the first morning to find that the only way for us ( with our golf bags etc) to get to the course was via a shuttle bus which ran very infrequently and started from the clocktower which was a good 500 meters away from the villa. Our complaint about this was eventually dealt with by a surly and unhelpful receptionist who sent round a security guard on a golf buggy.
He had to make two trips to get us plus golf bags to the clubhouse. The receptionist indicated that she was doing us a favour and the same provision would not be afforded on subsequent days. After this dispiriting start things improved a lot thanks to Tiago, a shuttle bus driver who made himself available whenever we required. He could not have been more helpful and is to be commended.
