About Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort 5*

Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort is a modern, upbeat urban beach hotel. It offers the best of both worlds: the upbeat buzz of the city and an escape to the freshness of beach living. This contemporary 5 star resort is for active guests who appreciate culture and style.

Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort brings carefree piazza-style living to the longest and widest stretch of white-sand coastline of any Mauritian resort with a natural beachfront that is 900m long and 40m wide, hence the name!

    Golf courses

Ile Aux Cerfs golf course is set on its own island, a 10 min boat ride away from the resort.

This Bernhard Langer designed championship course is stunning, set amongst a garden of amazing beauty. It is challenging for confirmed players, but its many tee boxes allow the less experienced golfers to also enjoy their day.

Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort 5* Details

Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort information

This new, contemporary 5* hotel is unique in style. It has an urban feel mixed with one of the longest beaches in Mauritius. Its main square has a feel of an Italian town, with a variety of restaurants and bars located around a central square which they call the “piazza”. It’s rooms are spacious and are all facing the ocean. The hotel has 255 rooms in total, mostly composed of standard sea view and superior beach front rooms. All the modern room amenities are featured, including an I-pod docking station, coffee maker and wireless internet.

The hotel also has three pools dotted around the resort, along with a state of the art sports centre, where you can enjoy a fully equipped gym, four tennis courts, and many other activities.

The hotel has five restaurants on site, with Le Marche, Sapori and Hasu being around the piazza, and the other two on the beach. They can cater for a wide range of cuisines and tastes, including Italian, French and Mauritian specialities.

Le Marche, the hotel’s buffet restaurant, serves international cuisine and is open all day long. If you fancy pizza or pasta, then head to Sapori, the Italian option next door. Hasu is the Japanese option, open only for dinner, and by the poolside and beach you can also find Chopsticks (Chinese) and Tides (seafood).

There are also two bars on the resort, Shores and Tides Beach Bar, and even a nightclub open until late in the high season.

    Spa information

The Sea Spa at Long Beach has 12 treatment rooms, with circa 50 different treatments available. The treatments are based around Thali Sens, an original concept from French-based marine cosmetology and thalassotherapy specialist Thal'ion.

The Spa is also complete with an outdoor pavilion, hammam, hair salon, relaxation area and a café.

    Things to see and do

The Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort offers all kinds of activities and entertainment, from the most relaxing to high energy: an impressive white sand beach, 3 big pools, a water sports centre, floodlit tennis courts, yoga and aqua-gym classes,  guided mountain bike excursions, an air-conditioned fitness centre and even a climbing wall

Beyond the long list of sports and activities on offer, the Sports Manager is there to help with special requests.

Our view of Long Beach Golf & Spa Resort

If you are looking for a hotel with an urban feel and contemporary design, then Long Beach is the option for you. As guests of the resort, you can enjoy complimentary golf at Ile Aux Cerfs Golf Course, which is a short shuttle and boat ride from the hotel. This is a great hotel, with a slightly different feel from the traditional Mauritian resorts. Worth a visit!

    Virginia Water a meticulous charachter
Hotel was recommended by and it surpassed our expectations in every way. Highly recommend the all inclusive package which was excellent value and more than adequate for our needs. Local beers are very good as were the wines, spirits and cocktails at no extra charge.

Concierge and team where unbelievably great but the food service poor. Wine menu great but it would be good if they actually had it in stock. The hotel rooms are the best I have ever stayed in.

The only real constructive comments I have are that we would have appreciated instruction when we arrived on the various restaurants, how reservations worked and where the F&B concierge was. We were half way through our stay before we worked out the system and would have made different choices.
Equally as an All Inclusive guest we had to pay once we had checked out but had several hours to kill before we needed to leave and an allowance for lunch and drinks would have been appreciated, particularly when we arrived too late on our first day to take advantage of our allowance for that day.
Finally, we had been told that the Japanese restaurant was not part of All Inclusive package when in fact there was an allowance for AI guests.

In essence, communication of the F&B system could be clearer and some goodwill after check out appreciated.
