PGA National Czech Republic overview
Commonly known as the Oaks Prague course, PGA National Czech Republic is situated in the countryside south-east of Prague. It combines championship golf with the character of a historic Bohemian estate. Designed by renowned architect Kyle Phillips, it was ranked the best course in Czech Republic in 2026 according to Top 100 Courses. The full 18-hole course opened in 2020, offering a strategic test for accomplished players while remaining approachable for club golfers through a choice of five teeing options.
The layout threads through mature oak woodland and rolling countryside, with generous fairways, carefully positioned bunkers and undulating greens encouraging thoughtful shot selection. Phillips’ design blends naturally into its surroundings, creating a varied round where positioning and imagination are rewarded alongside distance. Having welcomed the DP World Tour for the 2024 Czech Masters, the course is a standout addition to a golf holiday in Prague.

Signature holes
One of the standout holes is the short par-4 5th, where a tempting tee shot creates a classic risk-reward decision. Playing towards the corner of the dogleg leaves a downhill approach to a shallow green, while a more ambitious drive over the rise can set up a shorter pitch. With far-reaching views and a green that demands careful positioning, it is a hole where strategy matters as much as confidence.
Another memorable challenge is the par-3 17th, which plays downhill into a woodland setting. The hole appears longer than it plays, placing the emphasis on judging distance and choosing the right club as the round approaches its closing stages.
Post round
After your round, unwind in the beautifully restored Nebřenice Chateau, where historic charm creates an inviting setting to reflect on the day’s golf. Enjoy a meal in the open-kitchen restaurant, with international cuisine and views over the course, or settle into the stylish lounge for a drink with your playing partners. Whether you’re celebrating a good score or simply taking your time over lunch, it’s a fitting way to round off your visit.
