Designed by top American golf architect Rocky Roquemore, the course was inaugurated in 1997 and based on the drawings of Sir Henry Cotton.The 16th hole is one of the most photographed and celebrated golf holes in the world.
The 16th is one of the most famous holes in Portuguese golf, a par 3 requiring a shot of over 235 yards over three spectacular cliffs to reach the green.
