Norman Course
at BRG Da Nang Golf Resort

Da Nang & Hoi An, Vietnam

Norman Course overview

Designed by Greg Norman in 2010, the Norman Course at BRG Da Nang Golf Resort is said to be the first true links course to be built in Southeast Asia.

Measuring 7,190 yards from the back tees this course is a beautiful mix of traditional British links courses and those found at Australia’s Melbourne Sandbelt. That said, it is easy to see why it has won so many awards including Vietnam’s best golf course.

Like a lot of classic links, generous fairways are flanked by large bunkers and wastelands that have been carved into natural sand dunes. Hitting the fairway is key to scoring well, particularly as it gives golfers the best chance of approaching to the undulating greens that have made this course so famous.

Given its iconic location along the coastline, wind can often play a significant factor, so expect to play low running shots and putt from off the greens.

Signature Holes

The 146-yard par 3, 16th hole plays slightly uphill with the green framed by the azure East Sea and lush Cham Islands in the distance. Wind will be a factor, so those able to control their ball flight will fair best on this hole.

Did You Know?

The Norman Course has been built using the sand from Danang Beach, which was historically used as America’s first landing area during the conflict of the 1960s.

The Norman Course has a list of huge achievements. Upon opening in 2010 the course was named in the top 15 best new courses in the world by Golf magazine. Most recently, it was voted the best golf course in Vietnam by the Vietnam Tourism Awards.
