San Lorenzo Golf Course overview

Only a 10-minute drive from Dona Filipa Hotel the resort is located in the beautiful Quinta do Lago, where the course provides picturesque views throughout the round. The course runs alongside the Ria Formosa Estuary and Nature Reserve which offers difficulty, having to stay on the fairways. The track was designed by American golf architects, Joseph Lee and Rocky Roquemore and their unique layout makes for a memorable experience when playing golf down in the Algarve.

Signature Holes

The undeniable signature hole at the beautiful San Lorenzo golf course has to be the stroke index 1, 6th hole. Golfers are met by a glorious vista of the lagoon directly ahead of them on the tee as the hole gentle meanders around a dogleg. A hole all about risk-and-reward, golfers can attempt to cut the corner and drive directly over the trees from the tee, however, you will be penalised by the dense shrubs if your ball doesn’t measure up. Once you’re round the corner the green opens up, although be sure to aim plenty left as all balls collect on the right side of this green leaving a tricky putt.
