Golf Courses
The 18-hole, par-72 Indiana Course is one of Spain’s most respected layouts and a regular DP World Tour Qualifying School venue, underlining its elite standards of preparation and presentation. Maintained to an exceptionally high level year-round, the course is particularly renowned for its outstanding greens and tournament-quality playing surfaces.
Inspired by the great Arizona and Californian desert courses, the Indiana Course offers a strategic, risk-and-reward layout set against dramatic desert scenery. The experience is further enhanced by a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring golfers enjoy both championship conditions and a highly professional yet relaxed golfing environment.
Accommodation
Accommodation at Desert Springs is focused on stylish apartments, complemented by luxurious villas, all finished to a consistently high standard. Architecturally, the resort reflects classic Spanish colonial design, with warm painted façades, shaded terraces, and landscaped courtyards, while interiors are modern, spacious, and well-equipped, ideal for golfers seeking comfort and convenience after a day on the course.
The apartments consist of two and three-bedroom properties, set around spacious swimming pools and gardens, offering generous living areas, contemporary kitchens, and private terraces. For larger groups, the villas provide additional privacy, some featuring private pools, all located within easy reach of the clubhouse, golf course, and practice facilities.
Restaurant & Bars
Dining at Desert Springs centres around two on-site restaurants. El Torrente, located within the clubhouse, offers refined Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine with panoramic views across the 18th green, an ideal setting for relaxed post-round dining. The Crocodile Club provides a more informal atmosphere, serving casual favourites and refreshments throughout the day, while also showing live sporting events, making it a popular social hub for golfers.
Spa & Leisure
In addition to championship golf, the resort offers outstanding on-site sports and leisure facilities. The Sierra Sports & Fitness Club features a fully equipped gym, a brand new padel centre and tennis courts, and other fitness studios. Golfers can also unwind at the resort’s Day Spa, which offers a range of treatments and massages designed to relax and rejuvenate tired muscles.
Desert Springs is also home to a fully accredited ICC cricket pitch, along with football training facilities, reinforcing its reputation as a premier multi-sport destination.

Desert Springs is located in the south-east region of Spain, in Almería, approximately 50 minutes from Almeria International Airport and under 1 hour 20 minutes from Murcia International Airport, making it easily accessible for both short golf breaks and longer stays.
Nearby
Within 15 minutes of the Resort, golfers will find a selection of excellent restaurants and marina-side dining options in Garrucha and Vera. The Indiana Course
A classic Peter McEvoy design, the Indiana Course was the first desert-style course to be opened in Europe. This course provides a true desert golf experience with many of the typical hazards you would expect including a number of springs, watercourses, dry river beds, rocks and cacti and has been likened to layouts you may expect to find in Arizona and California. The course is kept to a very high standard with the greens emulating those you many find on a course played in Tour events.
