Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a school or college leaver looking to start a career in IT. As a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) Systems Administrator, you will work as part of our friendly IT team to help support and improve our CRM systems (Salesforce). Salesforce is Golfbreaks’ platform we use to manage customer and business data.
You will be trained on how to:
- Help colleagues by solving basic technical issues
- Set up new users and manage permissions
- Keep the system secure and running smoothly
- Assist with reports and automation to support different parts of the business
You will also have the opportunity to get involved in small projects in which you will help turn business needs into useful tools and solutions within the Salesforce platform. Over time, you will gain hands-on experience and work toward becoming a fully certified Salesforce Administrator, all with full support from us.
Key Responsibilities
Admin Support:
- Take ownership of and respond to support tickets from end users in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate resolutions for issues with end users clearly and effectively.
- Provide training to users, ensuring adoption of Salesforce platform features and functionalities.
- Troubleshoot issues and escalate them to others in the team, other teams, or third-party vendors as necessary.
- Monitor the Salesforce platform for errors, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
- Look for and suggest improvements to optimise the platform’s performance and usability.
- Act as the first point of contact for end users, resolving platform-related issues promptly.
- Build and maintain users within the Salesforce platform, ensuring proper configuration and access.
- Onboard new users to Salesforce, ensuring they understand the system and are set up for success.
- Manage security settings and user access to ensure compliance with internal policies and best practices.
- Generate, maintain, and enhance reporting and dashboards, ensuring accurate and meaningful data is available to stakeholders.
- Perform data management tasks such as importing and exporting data, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Build and maintain automations within Salesforce to improve operational efficiency.
Admin Project Work:
- Work on assigned items within an Agile sprint, focusing on Salesforce admin-related tasks.
- Create work items from escalated support tickets, clearly defining requirements and scope.
- Gather detailed requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional solutions within Salesforce.
- Build and implement solutions based on requirements, ensuring they meet user needs and business objectives.
- Test developed solutions to ensure they function as intended and meet quality standards.
- Communicate changes to relevant stakeholders and reporters, keeping them informed
Other:
- Collaborate with the team to build appropriate Salesforce solutions that meet business requirements and user needs.
- Work together with other team members to brainstorm and implement ideas for improvements and new features on the platform.
Training Program and Progression
The CRM Systems Administrator is a critical role to the business and within the team. We will therefore aim to bring you up to speed as quickly as possible. You will undertake an initial two-week training program, paired with self-learning through Salesforce’s official learning platform, and, as you settle into the role, you will adopt new responsibilities. You will be provided with continued guidance from experienced members of the team to ensure you have the knowledge needed to kick-start your career.
As part of your development in this role, you will be fully supported on your journey to becoming a certified Salesforce Administrator. This includes funded access to the Salesforce Administrator (ADM201) exam, as well as comprehensive training materials and learning platforms. You’ll also benefit from mentorship and hands-on guidance from experienced members of our CRM team, ensuring you gain the practical experience and confidence needed to achieve your certification. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build a long-term career in CRM and Salesforce.
Upon achieving your Salesforce certification and gaining 12–18 months of hands-on experience, you will be eligible for promotion to a Salesforce Administrator role, with expanded responsibilities, greater scope, and a competitive salary increase. We are committed to your internal development and will work with you from day one to establish a clear and structured progression path. To help support your learning, we can enrol you on a Salesforce Apprenticeship with LDN that has already produced some amazing Salesforce Administrators. This scheme will occupy 20% of your working week for the first 15 months, as you learn the Salesforce application alongside fellow apprentices on the course.
