    Porthmadog Golf Club Details

    Porthmadog Golf Club introduction

Not many golf courses can state that they have breathtaking views and are based on its exclusive North Welsh peninsula which has been designed by James Braid himself, but the Porthmadog Golf Club can.

    Porthmadog Golf Club information

    18 holes, 71 par, 6322 yards. Links.

When James Braid managed to have the chance to design a golf course which is uniquely situated on its exclusive peninsula he truly brought the best out of the course. Considered one of Wales’ finest golf courses the Porthmadog Golf Club golfers of all ability can have a challenging round here and are more than welcome to share stories in the clubhouse. Whilst playing Porthmadog Golf Club we recommend golfers pay key attention to the 14th hole which is locally known as ‘The Himalayas’ where the 378 yards par four requires a big drive over the huge natural bunker that hides the fairway from the tee.

    Porthmadog Golf Club Location

Porthmadog Golf Club can be found adjacent to the Porthmadog Train Station, approximately 10 minutes off the A487.

The holes that have fairways, which are generally the in land front 9 holes, weren't in the best condition..reminiscent of a ploughed field. But on the plus side the greens were in fantastic condition. The back 9 holes were very challenging , alot of blind shots aim at poles and hoping!
