The Aroeira Golf Club has two excellent golf courses, Aroeira Pines Classic which was opened in 1973 and hosted the Portuguese Open in '96 & '97, and Aroeira Challenge opened in 2000 and was designed by the renowned Donald Steel. Offering pristine golf with some stunning views, the courses offer some of Portugal's finest golf. Located only 25 kilometres from the centre of Lisbon, the property is ideally placed with a variety of hotels available to stay at nearby.

Within 900 acres of beautiful greenery in the Portuguese heat, Aroeira courses provide championship golf to the fullest. The par 72 Pines Classic plays at 6,696 yards and meanders its way through thick pine forest making accurate play essential. The more well-known Aroeira Challenge is played out across flatter land and features plenty of well placed bunkers and 5 lakes to negotiate. Both tracks offer something different and are perfect for golfers of all abilities looking to play some pure courses.

Situated amongst beautiful surroundings, Aroeira Pines Classic is a great Frank Pennink-designed course. The course opened in 1973 and has matured into a fantastic course. Aroeira Golf Club has another renowned sister course, the Challenge course, perfect for golfers looking for variety in Lisbon.
Aroeira Challenge
The second golf course at Aroeira Golf Club is the Aroeira Challenge. A different style of challenge than its sister course, Aroeira Challenge is played out across flatter land and features plenty of well placed bunkers and 5 lakes to negotiate. This is a great golf course for different levels of golfing ability, particularly as there are 5 tees on each hole, giving the golfer plenty of options. Aroeira Challenge has hosted the Qualifying School of Ladies European Tour and several Ladies Opens.
