Did You Know

Built as a country home for an Edwardian Baroness, the house served as a convalescent home during the Great War, but as the Officers Mess of the legendary RAF 617 “Dambusters” squadron in in WWII that the Petwood is renowned for. The Squadron bar is steeped in history and host a range of memorabilia and tributes to Guy Gibson VC, Leonard Cheshire VC and their officers.

Woodhall Spa is a little diverse in its own right, with plenty of heritage sites and countryside to explore. Some of the nearby site to visit include Lincoln Cathedral, Lincoln Castle, Tattershell Castle and Doddington Hall. There is also plenty of aviation history with Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre and Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre.
