Rambagh Golf Club overview
Founded in 1944, Rambagh Golf Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious of golf clubs in India which is affiliated to the Indian Golf Union. Given its strong heritage and history, Rambagh has always played a important role to the people of Jaipur (where it is located), where many where introduced to the game. More recently, the golf club now serves as a large tourist attraction.
The club offers an 18-hole challenging championship course with Par 70 Yardage-6303 (SSS 70), with the added benefit of facilities that include a driving range, putting green, bar and restaurant.
Golf course overview
A traditional Indian parkland course, with small greens and narrow fairways, the course at Rambagh Golf Club really is a timeless classic. This 6,303 yard par 70 course requires accuracy off the tee and a good short game in order to shoot a good score.
The layout is playable all year round and due to its central location is reachable within 15 minutes from the Jaipur International Airport. The Course is strategically designed on a sandy loam soil and picturesquely located with many scenic views. As you play the course you will see many local sights such as the Rambagh Palace Hotel, Moti Doongri Fort, Nahargarh Fort and the Birla Planetarium.
Signature Holes
The par 5 9th hole, measures 539 yards from the black tees, but if you get a good drive away bigger hitters have a chance of getting on in 2. However, approaches into the green need to be accurate as water and bunkers will greet any shot that doesn’t hit the short stuff.
