As a three-time host of the prestigious Irish Open, it’s a standout destination for golfers looking for an unforgettable golf getaway.

Golf Courses

Explore the two championship courses at Fota Island Resort—a rare golfing destination that has played host to the Irish Open three times.

Deerpark Course (Holes 1–18) Originally designed in 1993 by Christy O’Connor Jr. and Peter McEvoy, then extensively refurbished by Jeff Howes in 2000 in preparation for the Irish Open, the Deerpark Course is a timeless parkland layout that showcases a true test of Irish golf.

Barryscourt Course (Holes 19–27) Opened in 2007 and also designed by Jeff Howes, the Barryscourt Course is a championship layout across nine holes, which can also be played as part of an 18-hole combination to include the front nine on the Deerpark Course. Known for its more open nature compared to the Deerpark course, the Barryscourt Course tests accuracy off the tee and nerve on approach.
