Golf courses at PGA National Resort & Spa
The Palmer at PGA National Resort is a challenge for single-digit handicaps with the well-placed bunkers and numerous water hazards while remaining enjoyable and playable for higher handicaps. In true Arnold Palmer fashion, the course offers many risk/reward holes. The open fairways and limited rough allow for some bold play from the tee and the large greens invite players to attack the pin.
Any avid golfer will have this 7045 yard Jack Nicklaus design course on their ‘must play’ list. The Champion Course is home to the PGA TOUR’s annual Honda Classic and hosted the 1983 Ryder Cup. It features the infamous “Bear Trap” which are considered three of the most demanding consecutive holes in the game. Wide fairways and spacious greens are met with strategically placed bunkers and water on most holes to create a daunting yet enjoyable challenge.
The Estate Course
The Estates Course is located just 5 miles offsite of PGA National Resort & Spa and features a mixture of sand and water traps surrounding lush fairways and greens. The fairways are wide and the greens are large but forced carries, well-placed bunkers, and water hazards surrounding each hole create a challenging test that makes each round enjoyable for golfers of all handicaps.
