It might be shorter than its big brother, but the picturesque Dunes course is anything but the poor relation at Hardelot. Yardage can certainly be deceptive, with plenty of raised greens and massive elevation changes to factor in. With some gloriously secluded holes weaving through the pine forest, this is golf escapism at its very best. Playing both in one day is a real treat.

Not as imposing or demanding as La Mer, La Foret is nonetheless a very pleasant course that weaves through the beautiful pine forest of Le Touquet. It’s always in great condition and is quite simply a wonderfully tranquil experience. Play it with La Mer on a day ticket for the full Le Touquet experience. The nine-hole Manoir is a fun course for juniors and beginners.

There are some big climbs up from the valley floor, but don’t let that deter you. The conditioning is excellent, the holes varied and the lunch on the terrace overlooking the course is spectacular.
