Miami Shores Golf Course overview
Measuring 6,705 yards from the tips, the par-71 course at Miami Shores Country Club has a unique range of hazards which include the Biscayne Canal Number C-8 and the Florida East Coast Railroad, the latter of which is now deemed out of bounds. It is a classic Florida parkland layout that combines an enjoyable layout with tropical scenery.
The course was renovated/redesigned in 2011, which included re-shaped greens with new grass, tee and fairway renovations, bunker restoration and general upgrades to playability and conditioning. This has allowed the course to remain in great playing condition year-round.
The signature hole at Miami Shores Country Club is the long par-5 7th hole. The fairway is split in half by the Biscayne Canal. A risk/reward hole, long hitters may be tempted to drive their tee shot over the water but staying short is the safer option.
