Atlantic Dunes golf course overview
Atlantic Dunes at Sea Pines Resort is a complete reconstruction of the historic Ocean Course, the first course built on Hilton Head Island. Restored natural sand dunes, along with the addition of thousands of indigenous plants, benefit Atlantic Dunes both visually and strategically.
The front nine stretches parallel to the ocean with numerous ponds running alongside the fairways and greens. The back nine runs out towards the beach with ocean winds increasing as you approach the shore and clubhouse.
No matter where you go on the course, a gentle sea breeze will be a constant consideration. Redesigned in 2016 by Davis Love and his team, Atlantic Dunes is now a worthy complement to Harbour Town Golf Links and Heron Point.
Signature Hole
The signature hole on Atlantic Dunes is the long par-3 15th. It measures 205 yards from the tips and is accompanied by picturesque views of the Atlantic Ocean. The 15th, is one of just two holes on the entire island that border the ocean.
