Year-round travel

Mauritius’ tropical location allows for idyllic golf whenever you travel, with the average temperature remaining between 20°C - 30°C throughout the year. Owing to its positioning south of the equator, the summer months in Mauritius are between November-April, making it the perfect end or start of season golfing holiday from the UK.

Prices can fluctuate depending on your travel dates, but there are some fantastic deals to be had in shoulder season months such as February-March. Consider when you book your trip too, with many airlines having seasonal sales which can greatly help to reduce the overall cost of your trip.

All-inclusive indulgence

Nothing disrupts the tranquillity of a beachfront golf holiday quite like rummaging around for your currency to cover your piña colada! Fortunately, with the vast majority of our Mauritian resorts offering all-inclusive options, you needn’t worry about having your Rupee’s on hand!

The island is famous for its seafood, with the local catch of the day often coming from less than 100m from the restaurants! Mauritian dishes take plenty of inspiration from their surroundings, notably with fresh fruit in abundance across the island. However, the island also shares commonalities with other Asian cuisines, notably that of India, with curries, flatbreads, rice and dumplings all to be found across the island’s restaurants.

The all-inclusive options offer the chance to try new dishes in abundance (or stick with some old favourites!), with the luxury that comes from both the freshness and quality of the ingredients. Most resorts also include their stunning selections of cocktails within their all-inclusive offerings too, the ideal refresher after a day on the course!

Pristine beaches & outdoor adventures

It’ll come as no surprise that Mauritian resorts make the most of the beachfront locations with a myriad of water sports to be enjoyed in the clear blue seas which surround the island. From parasailing to deep-sea fishing, to Dolphin watching, to water skiing, there’s an on-water adventure for everyone! You can check in with your resort pre-travel to see what’s available during your trip, however, the size of the island means you’re never far from the next beach if your chosen activity isn’t available at your own hotel.

Those that prefer to keep their feet dry are blessed with incredible options for hiking and sightseeing, with the Tamarind Falls a must-visit during your trip. There’s also Black Gorges National Park, more than 40 square miles of protected forest land on the island, just waiting to be discovered.

For something truly memorable, be sure to visit Le Morne Brabant. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a symbol of the island’s slave’s fight for freedom. Slaves on the island were known to run away to the caves and forests around Le Morne Mountain where they lived in incredibly testing conditions. There are several miles of hiking trails here, with walkers again able to pass through some of the most historic areas around Le Morne following recent conservation efforts carried out by the World Heritage Centre.

Easily Accessible

Despite it’s distance Mauritius is incredibly easy to access from the UK, with regular, direct flights with some of our most trusted flight partners. There are many advantages to booking with Golfbreaks, including obviously speaking with our friendly and helpful travel experts. However, our membership of both ABTA and ATOL helps to protect each element of your trip, giving you the peace of mind to know that your full trip is protected.
