Gainey Ranch Golf Courses overview
Lakes Course As the name suggests, the Lakes has none other than five lakes throughout the 9-hole course with eight of the nine holes playing along the water. The only hole on the course that avoids any of the water hazards is the par-4 2nd hole. Playing at just under 3,400 yards from the tips, this medium length course has generous fairways and large greens that are well guarded by bunkers. Known for its lush greenery that contrasts with the desert landscape and remembered for the spectacular waterfall at the 9th hole, the Lakes is enjoyed by all.
Dunes Course The shortest of the three courses, the Dunes Course has undulating fairways and an abundance of bunkers throughout the course, especially around the greens. The fairways are a little tighter with no water hazards however the large, deep bunkers are prevalent and must be avoided to score well – accuracy from the tee is a must.
Arroyo Course
The Arroyo Course is the longer of the three nines, playing just over 3,400 yards and is named for the small arroyo that runs throughout the nine holes with many shots requiring a carry over it. Like the Dunes Course, the fairways are narrow, and the bunkers are most prevalent around the greens. The only water on this course comes into play on the par-3 6th hole on the right side of the green and running alongside the entire left side of the par-5 9th hole, which finishes with its infamous peninsular green.
