Puerto Los Cabos Overview
Puerto Los Cabos Golf Club is situated within a 2,000-acre master-planned resort community on the East Cape, approximately 10 minutes from the historic downtown area of San José del Cabo.
The golf at Puerto Los Cabos is highly regarded in the region, as it’s home to 18-holes of Nicklaus-design and 9-holes created by Greg Norman. Opening in 2017 the 40,000 square foot clubhouse is a combination of Spanish architecture and modern design and has everything on offer for before and after you play.
With a fully stocked pro-shop, and an outdoor restaurant and bar it is a great place to spend some time with your group. Make sure you warm up on the range which features the unique ‘Burro’ targets, before heading to the first tee.
Golf Course Overview
There are now 27 holes to be enjoyed at Puerto Los Cabos, three loops of nine that can be combined to create three varying 18-hole challenges. Greg Norman puts his name to nine of the holes and the other two nine-hole designs are courtesy of Mr. Jack Nicklaus.
The Norman Course starts in the desert foothills and makes its way down to the Sea of Cortez. Oceanfront golf and some big elevation changes are key elements, as are the large ‘flash-faced’ bunkers that represent Norman’s love of the Sandbelt courses in Australia.
The Nicklaus I course, was the original back nine to Norman’s front-nine, also beginning in the foothills it has unique views of the San Jose del Cabo valley, more oceanfront holes, and some quick, undulating greens. The Nicklaus II opened more recently (2018), large sculpted bunkers, dramatic elevation changes, and hard-to-read greens are in abundance. The start of the course has links feel as you play towards the Sea of Cortez with dunes in your eye-line. Holes 6 through 9 take you to higher ground and offer some of the most stunning views in the area.
As part of the green fee at Puerto Los Cabos, you will be treated on the course to complimentary food and drinks as you pass by the Culinary Palapas (4 times in 18-holes!). From sliders to tacos and a host of ice-cold beverages, it all adds to the experience.
Signature Hole
The par-5 7th on the Norman Course, holes 5 and 6 on Nicklaus I and the stretch from the 6th to the 9th on Nicklaus II are the stand-out holes at Puerto Los Cabos.

The club is a 20-minute drive from Los Cabos International Airport (SJD).
