The Links Course at Wild Dunes Resort is one of the standout golf experiences in the Charleston area, offering a memorable coastal layout on the beautiful Isle of Palms. Designed by Tom Fazio, this 18-hole, par-70 course combines classic Lowcountry scenery with Atlantic Ocean views, creating a round that feels both scenic and strategic from start to finish. It is no surprise that Top 100 Courses placed The Links Course inside the South Carolina top 50 in 2026.

As you arrive, the setting immediately makes an impression. The course winds through natural dunes, marshland, lagoons and coastal vegetation before building toward one of the most spectacular finishes in South Carolina golf. Signature holes

The Links Course is best known for its dramatic closing stretch, where the round moves closer to the Atlantic Ocean and the scenery becomes truly special. The 16th, 17th and 18th holes are the clear highlights, offering a brilliant blend of strategy, coastal views and memorable shot-making.

The par-3 16th plays from a tee set within the marshland to a small green, with the ocean visible in the distance. The 17th and 18th then continue the drama beside the Atlantic, giving golfers one of the best finishes in the Charleston area. It is the kind of closing run that stays with you long after the round is over.

Post round

After your round, the clubhouse provides a relaxed place to enjoy food and drinks with your group. Whether you are grabbing a cold beer, reflecting on the closing holes or planning your next round, it is a great spot to unwind after a day on the course.

The resort setting adds to the appeal, with the beach, restaurants, bars and leisure facilities all close by. After golf, you can head straight for the pool, enjoy a meal at one of the resort’s dining venues or make the short trip into Charleston for an evening out.

Our view

The Links Course is the must-play round at Wild Dunes Resort. The oceanfront finish is the headline feature, but the whole course offers a fun and scenic Lowcountry test that suits a wide range of golfers.

For anyone planning a golf vacation to Charleston or Isle of Palms, this is a course that should be high on the list.
