Harbor Course overview

Par: 70Yards: 6275

Renowned for being one of Charleston’s tightest golf courses, the Harbor Course at Wild Dunes Resort is set among stunning lagoons, salt marshes, and the Intracoastal Waterway.

From the opening holes, the Harbor Course has a more intimate feel. Instead of wide coastal views, golfers are treated to tree-lined corridors, lagoons, salt marshes and well-placed hazards that demand accuracy from the tee. It is a course where smart course management is just as important as distance.

Although shorter than many resort courses, the Harbor Course offers plenty of challenge. Water comes into play throughout the round, and the layout rewards players who can position the ball well and stay patient. With its relaxed resort atmosphere and beautiful Lowcountry setting, it is an enjoyable round for golfers of all abilities.

Signature hole

The standout hole on the Harbor Course is the par-3 16th, a memorable short hole that captures the course’s Lowcountry character perfectly. Playing across water to a well-protected green, it demands accuracy and commitment, especially when the coastal breeze starts to pick up.

With marshland, lagoons and the surrounding Isle of Palms scenery framing the shot, the 16th is both scenic and challenging. It is the kind of hole that can quickly become a trip highlight, whether you walk off with a confident par or a story about the one that got away.

Post Round

After your round, the Harbor Course clubhouse is a great place to relax with a drink and talk through the day’s golf. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it ideal for groups looking to unwind after a competitive round.

With the wider resort just moments away, golfers can easily continue the day with a meal, a trip to the beach, time by the pool or a drink at one of Wild Dunes’ bars. It is this easy resort convenience that makes playing at Wild Dunes so appealing.

Our view

The Harbor Course is a great companion to The Links Course and adds excellent variety to a Wild Dunes golf vacation. It may not have the same oceanfront finish, but its strategic design, water hazards and Lowcountry scenery make it a very enjoyable round. For golfers staying at the resort, it is well worth playing both courses during the trip.
