The Twenty Ten Course is the first course in history to have been designed specifically to host golf’s most prestigious tournament, The Ryder Cup. It includes six signature holes and has been designed to test every level of golfer. The Montgomerie Course, designed by Ryder Cup legend Colin Montgomerie, offers breath-taking tee shots over the valleys, which makes this championship golf course one to remember. The oldest of the three courses is, The Roman Road Course, opened in 1995 and was named after the many Roman roads crossing through the course. We recommend that you hire a buggy as the undulating fairways can be a tough walk.
Boasting 7 restaurants on-site, guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating well. Steak on Six is the award-winning signature restaurant, offering some of the best steak from around Britain, whilst Cen, created by MasterChef finalist Larkin Cen, serves exquisite, unique Asian cuisine. You’ll also find a delightful fine dining experience at Epicure by Richard Davis, providing exciting and refined food in an intimate atmosphere. You won’t leave here disappointed as the food is out of this world. For a change of scenery choose from Seasons at Coldra Court Hotel, or award-winning Rafters at The Twenty Ten Clubhouse. There are various other options available away from the resort, not least the nearby 2 AA Rosette Newbridge on Usk.
With 6 different bars within the resort, you can be sure to find something to suit everyone. Boasting a sun terrace overlooking the Rooftop Garden, Merlins Bar is an ideal spot for a morning coffee. The Cellar Bar in the Manor House provides the perfect retreat to enjoy a pint and some thrilling live sport. Look out for happy hour from 5.30pm-7pm! The Manor Lounge Bar is a peaceful setting that has bags of charm and historic period features. Set in the heart of the Manor House, it is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet drink before dinner. The Grill Bar and The Court Bar provide even more choice and variety. Away from the resort in the nearby town of Newport we can strongly recommend the Hanbury Arms, a lovely, historic pub with parts of the building dating back to the 17th century. Cardiff is well renowned for its lively nightlife, with a vast range of different pubs, clubs and bars.
