Rediscover your love of golf in Turin

In the northwest of Italy, within Piemonte, Turin is a golfing hotspot that has luxurious resorts and beautiful golf available on the outskirts of the city. The courses at Royal Park Roveri Golf Club for example are very highly recommended, as is Circolo Golf Torino. Both golf clubs offer stunning scenery including snow-capped mountains and have hosted the Italian Open multiple times each. We think a golf holiday to Turin should be on every golfer's bucket list.

The surrounding region is best known for skiing and is home to Italy’s largest chunk of the Alps. However, during the summer months, a golf holiday to Turin is an absolute must, with a selection of fantastic golf courses and resorts waiting to be explored.

The complete Turin golf guide

Close to the borders of France and Switzerland, Turin is a popular skiing destination during the winter months and during the spring and summer, blossoms into a golfer’s paradise.

The facilities at former Italian Open host Royal Park Roveri Golf Club are second to none with two championship golf courses designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr, excellent practice areas and a clubhouse that contains a gym, swimming pool and fabulous restaurant, you’ll never want to leave! The Trent Jones course is a real test of golf, and arguably is for better players, yet can still be enjoyed by a higher handicapper looking for a challenge. The Pramerica course is more forgiving, and a relaxing round of golf. With wide fairways and larger greens, this course is a great place to enjoy 18 holes in northern Italy’s summer sun.

For sheer golfing joy we would recommend Circolo Golf Torino. The Blue course is a three-time host the Italian Open and can often lead little room for error from the tee. The 13th is their signature hole, a downhill and tight par three and for those who aren’t superstitious, it is quite simply fun to play. The second course on this estate may be considered the easier of the two but is by no means a walkover and will have you smiling on every hole.

Art, food, culture, golf & more

Although already well-known in the tourism industry as one of Italy’s main powerhouses, golf in Turin has often been overshadowed by the city’s main draw factor which is the art, culture and food. However, the courses of Turin are some of the best in all Italy and thusly are gaining a good reputation among many of Europe’s elite golfers. There are many courses worth a visit in Turin but highlights include the picturesque fairways of Hurdzan-Fry, the quaint course at Golf Club Biella at Le Betulle and the intricate design of Circolo Golf Torino.

You are unlikely to find such a beautiful, historic and dynamic city golf break anywhere else; Turin truly gives you the best of both worlds. Plus, when you consider that due to its considerable tourism popularity flights to Turin are frequent and relatively cheap across the UK and accommodation options are plentiful and suitable for all budgets.
