Panmure Golf Course introduction
The course dates back to the late 1890’s and has hosted Open qualifying events over the years. Watch out for Ben Hogan's favourite hole at Panmure, it was the 6th and he suggested the cleverly placed, hidden pot-bunker to the front right of the green.
Panmure Golf Course information
18 holes, 70 par, 6317 yards. Links.
Laid out in 1899, although the club was formed more than fifty years earlier. Ben Hogan practised here for his open win at Carnoustie in 1953 and the 387 yard, 6th was a particular favourite of his. There are many fine holes on this course with the 12th being another memorable challenge, a twisting burn guarding the green’s approach.
