About the Open de France...

The Open de France is one of the oldest and most respected tournaments on the European Tour rota having been around from 1906. Since the early 2000’s, this Rolex Series event has been going from strength to strength, with a steady rise in attendance and prize money, and a spotlight placed on its home course – Le Golf National (2018 Ryder Cup host).

L’Albatros course at Le Golf National provides the perfect stage for the French Open. With one of the hardest closing stretch of holes in Europe, the tournament doesn’t properly start until the back-9 on the final day. The course combines a traditional links feel with the modern features of target golf, with a large selection of the greens surrounded by water…a really unique setting to watch the best pros on tour battle it out.

With Le Golf National set to host the 2018 Ryder Cup, all eyes will be on this beautiful layout, and the 2018 Open de France promises to be the biggest one yet!
