Ocean Course at Kiawah Island information
18 holes, 72 par, 7873 yards. Links.
An incredibly astute Pete Dye design and one of the most famous golf courses in the world, The Kiawah Island Ocean Course made its name as the host of the dramatic 1991 ‘War on the Shore’ Ryder Cup match. Named “America’s Toughest Course”, this layout stretches to 7,873 yards from the back tees and casts spectacular views across 2 ½ miles of Atlantic coastline.
Golfing on The Ocean Course is an experience like no other, from Pro V1 practice balls on the range through to the superbly manicured tee boxes, fairways and greens, the experience will be one to remember forever. In addition, all golfing four balls receive their own personal forecaddie to assist with tee shots, green reading and no doubt the occasional ball searching! Host of the 2007 Senior PGA Championship and more importantly the 2012 PGA Championship, The Kiawah Island Ocean Course is one of only 17 ‘5 star’ courses in North America as voted for by Golf Digest’s ‘Best Places to Play’ reader’s poll.
