Both are maintained to very high standards in order to meet the expectations of members and professionals playing year round.
Marly Course at Golf de Joyenval information
18 holes, 72 par, 6640 yards. Parkland.
This course has been designed in the pure tradition of Robert Trent Jones Snr with carved bunkers surrounding the often-raised greens. Even the best golfers will face some serious challenges through the undulations. The Marly course is very technical and requires excellent shot-making skills. Over the summer the fairways enjoy some high natural rough lines offering a links-style appearance but punishing any wayward drives. You will find a large double green shared between the 6th and the 17th hole - very similar to St Andrews.
The 10th, 11th & 12th holes make up Joyenval’s equivalent of Amen Corner. The magnificent par 3 11th hole, played from an elevated tee, overlooks an ancient outbuilding of the estate. The path from the 11th green to the 12th tee winds through the ancient Joyenval Abbey, originally constructed in 1224.
The signature hole is the 18th - a strong par 5 that's tough to reach in 2 shots with lovely views towards the clubhouse.
